A local, community institution! Residents look forward to this free celebration of all things American from parade floats to pie contests.
Community Advocacy
Collective advocacy with city, county, and state representatives providing a unified voice to shape the future of Mission Hills.
Mission Hills Development, Preservation, and Beautification
Through membership fees, the Town Council has been able to assist with funding beautification projects such as planting in the Ibis St./Washington Pl. triangle and in Presidio Park, as well as donating to San Diego Canyonlands project to rehabilitate the Mission Hills Canyon. We continue to advocate on behalf of the community regarding important issues such as homelessness and the Old Mission Hills Library.
Washington Street Maintenance Assessment District
The WSMAD focuses on beautifying our public spaces along Washington St. from Hawk to Albatross, as well as along Goldfinch from University to Ft. Stockton.
