Creek to Bay Cleanup -Saturday, April 25 9am-12pm

This Friends of Mission Hills Canyons Work Party is coordinated with I Love a Clean San Diego’s annual Creek to Bay Cleanup.

The native plants that we have established at the head of Mission Hills Canyon need some TLC to carry them through the dry summer months! We will be weeding, building watering basins, spreading mulch, and getting rid of some brush piles leftover from previous work parties. The plants are doing quite well right now, but this work is critical so that we don’t lose them to drought and heat. Come see what our years of effort have produced!

You will need to wear work clothes and sturdy shoes. Work gloves highly recommended. Bring: hand trowels, water, sunscreen. Kids welcome (with adult supervision)!

Meet: Behind the tennis courts across from Pioneer Park. Please try to be there on time, 9am.
